abPhoto is an Android app developed by Acer Inc. (26F, 116, Sec. 1, Xintai 5th Rd.Xizhi, New Taipei City, 221Taiwan). Others apps created by Acer Inc. are: abMusic, Acer Portal, abFiles, AcerRemote.

abPhoto first became available on 29 May 2012. It is estimated that abPhoto has been downloaded between 10000000 and 50000000 times from the Play Store.

abPhoto 3.5.1.2004 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows applications to read the sync settings.

Allows applications to set the wallpaper.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows applications to write the sync settings.
